Grace Browne

My name is Grace and I am an award-winning journalist. I'm primarily interested in stories around health, science, and medicine, and where these topics intersect with society and culture.

I was previously a staff writer at WIRED, and my writing has also appeared in outlets such as New Scientist, Undark, BBC Future, and Hakai magazine, amongst others.

For my work, I have been shortlisted for Health Journalist of the Year at The Press Awards 2022, Best Specialist Writer at the British Society of Magazine Editors Talent Awards 2023, and was a winner of the 2024/2025 Semmelweis-Richter Journalism Award. I recently was a fellow at the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) and a fellow at the 2025 Erice Science Communication and Journalism International School.

I also work as a communications specialist, leading editorial outputs at Malaria Consortium, one of the most effective non-profit organisations in the world.

I'm available for commission, for all types of editorial work! Reach out at gracefbrowne@gmail.com
